In the first 2009 trendwatching report, Yakkay was cited as being the number one Fashion and Beauty idea of 2008 for the springwise site. Cudos to Yakkay for a super innovative design and cudos to the springwise public for acknowledging the potential of this new consumer products—bringing individualism and dare I say “cool” to the realm of head gear safety.

DECEMBER 2008

On August 11th, 2008, Lori Webb, had her first trendspotting for international trendspotting site, Springwise.com accepted and published. One of the internet’s largest and most prestigious consumer trend sites. The spotting was made in Denmark and featured a small, newly started company creating fashion forward cycle helmets. Yakkay proved to be quite a hit (literally) on the global stage and within 24 hours of the trendspotting Yakkay received 15,000 hits on their site and countless international calls regarding distribution.
